Wisconsin Stabbing Was 'Long, Thought-Out Plan,' Involved Online Character
ABC News

(WAUKESHA, Wis.) -- The two 12-year-old girls being held on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide after stabbing a classmate 19 times apparently spent time accessing a number of websites that deal with similar incidents.

According to the Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack, the girls planned the stabbing, at least in part, to impress a fictional online character. "There's not just one Internet site that they were accessing to obtain some of this information," Jack said, "It's multiple websites of a similar nature that deal with this type of incident."

The victim in the stabbings was listed in stable condition on Tuesday. Waukesha assistant District Attorney Ted Szczupakiewicz said that the incident was the result of "a long, thought-out plan."
